So after seeing the trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean, I am dying to see it, and I am dying to see it with YOU, London people. Particularly if you ARRR! pirates by birth and ARRR! willing to come to a cinema in Central London or thereabouts wearing an eyepatch or a headscarf or even, sweet God be praised, a plastic parrot. Stoatie, mono, I'm looking at you. You scurvy dogs.

I suggest Friday, the 8th August, which is the day it comes out. Why wait?

Moonlight reveals our true nature. Arrr.

Damn yer filthy hide, I'm out that night, I was really looking forward to a Barbelith piratical outing. Unless it could be a day assault...

Soz, am seeing this for a Girls' Night Out. If you go and see it in the west end, chances arrr you'll see us attired in piratical gear, drunk on rum cocktails and trying to make people walk the plank.

Blast my socks, I'm free that night - where shall we meet, mateys? I suggest the WaARRRRRRRner Village on the Lost Isle of Islington, near the sign of the Angel tube. There's a performance at 8pm and one at 9.30, but 8 be better for quaffing some grog after, I reckon.

Ticket prices are 8.10 pieces of eight for responsible adults and 5 1/2 pieces for feckless students or irresponsible adults with fakey student cards.

Obviously that's a good location for me, and looking at who's coming so far I think it's good for all... We should book some tickets, but we'll need to know how many of us there are first...

If I am back in time from Leeds-shaped parts of the world I would love to come along. I won't know until I get back that very afternoon though, so don't book a ticket for me Sqwark!

I'll be there for the 8pm showing, with my fakey student card. Not that they ever ask to see it if you book over the phone.

So how many people can make it to the 8pm showing tomorrow then? So far I count me, Flyboy, Shapeshifters, maybe Harmony, probably Anna de L. - but I can't see the rest of the thread now. BlaARRRRRst.

Pirates II: Fifteen (wo)men on a Dead Man's Chest?

I am reviving this thread because it was great fun to go and see the last Pirates film with a bunch of people and I wondered if anyone fancied doing that again for the second film this week? I suggest the Vue in Islington as a venue, but am flexible.

I'm not around on Wednesday, but any other weekday evening would be mARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRvellous.

Anyone else up for it?
