Everything (in all fora) seems to not have the linky-linky bit unless it's something that would have been highlighted as a topic posted to since I last looked.

It was looking seriously trollsome, cos in between those two posts of mine I saw another one fucking with the html in titles in the Convo with an abstract reading "revenge"... (sorry, I don't really understand this technical stuff)... THAT seems to have been sorted, but the missing headers thing is still ongoing... maybe (hopefully) it's just a bug and I'm just being paranoid.

Without wishing to hassle Tom, cos I imagine if that's the case (as I thought, but hoped was just paranoia) he's got enough on his plate without PMs and emails, d'you know enough about this to know if there's anything we can do to help? Bumping other available threads? Or just fucking off for a while? I really don't understand how any of this shit works, but if sticking around discussing it'd make things worse, I don't wanna be doing it! And vice versa.

I think the mods have got it sorted since old posts can't be hijacked new ones have to be created and they're being deleted as soon as they are posted, I think it'll be fine.

If you're talking about my post to the Phantom Power thread in Music, Bear, I'm afraid not. I just had a guess it would work.

Anyway, if there's a thread that anyone wants to read or reply to they can find it through using the search function. That's only a stop-gap measure, as you need to know either the thread's title or words from its abstract.

Oh, wait. Before we get all paranoid, I've just noticed that it's now impossible to use HTML in thread titles - see Lionheart's thread in this forum and chrome's 'You vote to impeach Bush' thread in Conversation. There's a chance that this problem is just a side-effect of that change being made to the board.

Again, though, that's just wild speculation on my part and probably isn't helping matters.

can anyone explain what the actual problem is?

i changed the code for topic name displaying this morning. any html is now be shown as visible code, so instead of an image you see a little snippet of html.

Normally, threads that contain new posts since your last visit have titles appearing in gold, whereas those with no new posts appear in black. This is still working on the main page (http://www.barbelith.com/underground) but on the seperate forum index pages (http://www.barbelith.com/underground/forum.php?id=2 for Policy & Help, for example) only those threads with gold titles are showing up. All other threads - those with no new posts since my last visit and titles in black - have all the usual information visible except the title.

So this thread currently looks like this for me:
