Might be on for this. It's just around the corner from me, and being a fiver, is no great strain. Might have a freelance thing due in over the weekened tho'... Hrrmmmm...

How's London working out for you these days anyway?

An early show, you say? I and at least one other are going to Pottymouth tomorrow night (it's free! it's girls playing records by girls! it's great!), but there's a chance we could do both (will consult). What do the Mates of State sound like, then?

How early is early? I'd like to come along but I have to go to the gym from 5 til 6 but it'll be later than that right I guess....

they might be too cute for you though... I think that's the first time anyone's ever said that to me. Checked out the website, the blonde girl's got it, alright.

MP3's sound good too. Ehhh... what time?

Flyboy: i will definitely follow you to pottymouth if you come to the mates of state. how could you pass up a chance to see me dance like a maniac again?

The doors open at 7:30 and there's only one other band playing, so we should be able to make it to both...

from the tickets website, not a bad description...they are super-energetic performers and married to each other:
"Kori Gardner and Jason Hammel, the San-Francisco based duo behind Mates of State, rely on nothing more than a synthesizer and some drums to conjure their perversely melodic song cycles. Gardner makes up for the lack of low end with an adept use of her keyboard bas pedals while Hammel's crashly-bashly cymbal wash fills the remaining space. Significantly the pair's greatest assets is their voices, which harmonize, overlap and react"
