Flame comes out of the woodwork in London

Hi folks.

As you know, this being the 21st century, we have all this technology stuff that allows me, a humble musician, to contact you, a humble supercollectiv, instantaneously and without effort. In Colour.

Yet, somehow I manage to forget to tell you about my gigs until the last minute, which is entirely inexcusable.

Oops.

Soooo: if, by lucky chance, you want to come and party in the wilds of Herne Hill tomorrow (Saturday) night, please make your way down to the Half Moon for about half eight, whereupon I will be up doing my thing on the stage!

If you're reading this on Monday morning at work then I apologise for missing you. I'm very sorry and can only suggest that you come to the next one, for which I will be more organised. Yeah, I know, I know, I always say that. But I do now have a website- www.peacemango.com -with my gig dates on it.

And I'm back here too.

x

Unfortunately, I can't make it. London stuff an' all.

Strangely enough, however, I was wondering just this very afternoon where the fuck you'd got to.

Hope it goes well!

Naked Flame!!! So good to see you. Seriously, the synchronicity never stops, because about 4 days ago I saw there was a thread on Music about musicians on the board, and I wrote "Whatever happened to Naked Flame? I loved his Peace Mango song!" Someone wrote back reminding us that you'd stopped posting to focus on music.

And last night I met up with 2 'Lithers in nYC and your name came up, I was telling 'em how much I loved the Peace Mango song, and I even bought a new Mango-flavored Gatorade while hanging out with them in honor of the Peace Mango song. And today I read something on Craig's List that mentions how George on SEINFELD used a mango as a viagra-like endurance/sex drive booster. So the magick of the Mango - and of Naked Flame - still lives on!!! I want more tunes! Are there any new songs up on your mp3 (anything that wasn't on there back when the Mango song was a 'Lith hit)?

Wow - the site is great, so glad to see that you've adopted the Peace Mango song as your anthem (and the name of the site!). That song is infectious for all the right reasons. Screw Kylie's "Can't Get You Out of My Mind" - I can't get the Peace Mango song out of my mind! Wish I could see a live gig someday - maybe if I travel to Luan-Don town or you come to NYC. And the mango tree story was just another example of magickal coincidence that makes Barbelith and all its members so freakin' cool.

Have a great time at the gig, I know great things are ahead for you in your music career. I still play the Peace Mango song every once in a while and love it just as much as I did the first time!

Dang! You know we could have made it too if we'd seen this thread in time. We were supposed to be in Edinburgh, but due to a space/time anomoly (sp?) we were just hanging out in my house in Brixton. Bugger, bugger, bugger.

I'll go check the website and find a date that I can make it to. It'll be good to see you again dear.
