This album has been on Soulseek for a few months now so I though I'd mention it, see if anyone else has heard it yet.
Well in my Humble opinion, it's Great! The over polish of Let it come down is gone, replaced with a much rawer sound. The Spaceman has been listening garage rock and it's doing him the world of good. The first track, This Little Life of Mine is a fantastic rock n roll garage number and for the first time the rockin' songs are the best on a spiritulized album.
That's not to say when the God bothering starts it's dull. Lord let it rain on me is what you expect when Pierce gets the choir in, but it's the lazy country shuffle of Hold On that really took me by surprise.
Yea!
There's some cracking music coming out at the moment. |
