well, there was scene on the scene
and there was always being mean
and nothing really at all
came close, to in between
yeah, the heads were smokin Zeppelin
and the threads were what you left in
when you walked down the street
when you played and scuffed your feet
maybe you was wearing combats
like those fishbone chili stray cats
with the bomb in between
that bass's funky scene
and there was always a lesson
but that's why i am confessing
that the kids whom i grew up with
didn't learn a damned thing...
they're just taking notes,
and never really giving,
