It's so tragic. I mean on the one hand yes, these characters are the product of a capitalist system designed to titilate us with an ageless, dumbed down version of the Neitzcheian Superman, and by showing them weak like this he shows us the weakness of the system that created them...
But on the other hand, we all know these people. It's like people you respect...care about? Get old suddenly. It's made worse because we "know" that these characters are ageless.
And just calling it "nursing home" implies that it could be any home, anywhere. |
