Which Software to use...?

I'm looking for a piece of software which can be set up to display graphically the relationships between objects - relationship mapping software, I suppose.

Any thoughts? (PC platform, please, my Mac-dreams are not yet a reality.)

not sure what you mean exactly.

but if you want to place objects in 3d space (with animation also), then 3d bloody studio is a good bet.

yeah?

Microsoft Visio or Rational Rose would do this...so would Word if you just need basic stuff...

Pity you're on a PC, I hear there's some great stuff for this sort of thing on Macs.

Some guy I knew at my old work was raving about Micrografx Flowcharter 7; he said it was great for recording random thoughts and linking them all together. I don't know how graphical it is though. He did give me a copy but I never actually installed it, since I don't really use PCs except at work.

Yeah, the PC/Mac thing is annoying. Tom uses something (Omnnigraph) which would be perfect, but I don't think it's on PC. There is an Omnigraph programme which is both, but it doesn't seem to do what Tom's does...

Omnigraffle? That's the big Mac one, certainly. I checked that out but they don't do a PC version.

Is it good? I've not tried it, but I'm interested in this sort of thing.
