I believe he's the son of Nyx (Night?) and Erebus, and his twin bro' is Thanatos (death), with whom he is often portrayed Morpheus is one of his sons. His wife is Aglia, one of the three graces. I think there's some references to him in the Iliad and Hesiod's Theogeny. Try here for some info. Hypnos was sometimes depicted as a young, naked man with wings.
