Astral Travel

December or 2002, I somehow sent myself to a different place. I remember that it was very real, and I was there, moving about for a very long time, though I could not interact with anything. I would later find that I could travel both space and time.
I spoke about it with a friend of mine, and described it as "using spells."
Unfortunately, the memory of it is vague like a dream.

Now, as a newbie to the realm of "official" (meaning, actually discussed theories versus my own ideas and thoughts) magic, I read about astral projection and travel. Frankly, I'm blown away. This opens so many doors for me; there really is so much more out there.

But I ask: Is this really real? I read some past threads, and the descriptions feel very familiar. Did I project my astral self and travel? I had later chaulked it up to a hypnosis, but reading all the things I have read, is it real?

It's real. Well, as real as anything else...

Astral travel, fun and excitement the whole family can enjoy!!

Anyway, astral travel-in my opinion at least- is sometimes a good, relaxing exercise, but it's perilous. Once you enter the ocean, you enter the food chain. Leaving your body is not all fun and games, so I always cast a Shell around me when I do it (and I haven't in months).

As to it being real, well, I think that nothing is real and I'm a fictious character, so I'm not the one to ask.

I wouldn't worry so much about what's real and what's not. That way lies obsession and insanity.

Unfortunately, not really, eeoam. I stumbled upon it accidentally. I was in a very focused inner meditation, and then I realized I was looking down at myself, quite literally. After the initial time, I learned to just sort of will myself to go different places, from hyperdimensions to focusing my astral self into a different location here on our plane of existence. It's sometimes easy, sometimes hard. It’s sometime I don’t do very often because I know it can be dangerous going to other planes, and because I’m not sure of the ethics of spying on people with your astral self.
