I've no idea whether this is acceptable practice for Ye Olde Heade Shoppe, but some like-minded folk have got together and started an e-group dedicated to academic approaches to the life, work and influence of H.P.Lovecraft. My interest is from the magickal angle, but obviously it'd be of relevance to people in Film Studies and Cultural Studies and Literature and History and, well, anywhere really. Those interested are invited to subscribe here.

That's all fairly self-explanatory, but in the immortal words of Gypsy Lantern, "I'll add another sentence, just so this post can end in italics."

Nifty. WOuld discussion on Lovecrafts influences (Dunsany, Arthur Machen, Ambrose Bierce) be kosher?

Might I suggest a move to the Books thread? It's more likely to get Lovecraft readers there than here...
