Who wants a copy of a CD I made to celebrate the Summer Holidays?

I'm afraid it's not excessively summery though.

It's just a bunch of all new or new-ish music I like, most of which could vaguely be categorised as "weird pop" and the rest of which can be categorised as "bad noise".

I've done one (on tape) at around this time for the past few years and, um, generally listened to it and given copies to people and made a nice cover and so forth, which I guess makes it a tradition of some kind.

So who wants one?

I want a track listing, then perhaps I'll allow you to furnish me with a copy.

I don't think a full tracklisting is necessary because a) it's nice for there to be a few surprises when you actually get the thing, b) I've had tapes from Riz before and he generally has excellent taste (ah, "taste"! - cue debate...), and c) he's offering CDs for FREE, he can give as much or as little info as he likes!

However, a brief list of a few of the bands or tracks included would be kinda cool.

(Goddamit, I have to finish my multi-volume mastermixtape thing...)

woaha. Many replies. I'll have to start mass production I suppose.

I actually did a mark.II of the CD last night, cos a couple of tracks I'd copied from tape didn't turn out very well, so I'm afraid you'll be denied the joys of Mudhoney's version of Hawkwind's "Urban Guerrilla" (what was that about taste?).

(For once)I'm not really trying to be dead cool with this CD, it's just compiled from things I like in the piles of stuff around my hi-fi. Artistes represented include;

Guitar Wolf, Zea, Mclusky, Buck 65, Oneida, Foibles, Grant, Anaal Nakhrath, Mr Airplane Man, Mensen, Lightning Bolt, Knife-Hand-Chop, Dead Meadow, the Apes.. and the excellent Party of One have the unprecedented honour of having two tracks included. And "many more" of course.

A mixture of indefinable weird pop, psychedelia, psuedo-hiphop and metal really I suppose..

Riz: I totally want one. After reading the Riz music tastes for many months, I want to experience them in full technicolour stereo glory. And I'll PM you my address and actually copy that freaking "Crash Worship CD I promised about 15 years ago.

I'd love one, but rather be able to give something in return, y'know?

Thanks, but no thanks. I only like Genesis. This is mainly for the keyboard work of Tony Banks, probably the most exciting and underrated member of Genesis. Phil Collins is okay but he looks like a big toe.

OK, final version is completed, so anyone who wants one of these, just drop me an address.

And anything you want to send me in return - well it's all gratefully recieved.
