Harry has put on weight

The new Harry Potter novel weighs a whopping 2.2 lbs, and comes out on Friday (which means, incidentally, that Saturday morning will not be a good time to go to the sorting office, as anyone who wasn't in to take delivery of their copy will be shouting at the SO clerks 24 hours later).

It seems to me there's been a rough equivalence thusfar between length and sophistication - the most recent book was darker, bleaker, and even suggested a little moral uncertainty, if not ambiguity.

So I'll be reading it when I have time, and trying not to think about Deva's Snape/Harry antics until later.

I'm assuming it will provoke another moderate row here, so I just thought I'd get the thread started now. Comments, predictions, cries of anguish, condemnations...

Bring it on.

I dunno. I thought the third one had more by way of "moral uncertainty", with the last one overstuffed with rather dull 'at the end of the day, the boys gave 110%' style descriptions of quidditch matches. But that might just be me.

There's already a thread on this one, chaps. As the most laissez-faire moderator in existence, I don't particularly care which thread we use from now on, but I think one is sufficient. Perhaps the older one, as it has the name in the title?

Oops. My bad. Was just amazed by the weight thing.
