I think it's because "murder" is now just general ebonics for "wild and crazy times". This is thanks to Ja Rule in part, but like most linguistic mutations in hip-hop it's really just an extension of something we're all familiar with - "it's murder" = it's a nightmare, it's crazy, it's chaos; "it's chaos" = it's really fun in a hedonistic, regret-it-in-the-morning way.
Note that it's not necessarily the girl who's the murder victim - she's a killer, she slays R, etc. - although whitey will no doubt read it that way 99% of the time. Tsk. Whitey. |
