She played a retrospective set, from the teenage jesus material onwards...
Being a big fan, i thought it was great, but although the venue was full, there was'nt many people going for it. I was dancing at the front with a few people, but could'nt get any frenzied activity going!
I don't know if it was because a lot of people were unfamiliar with her, as the night itself was commerating the end of the Birmingham Fierce! festival, but i still enjoyed it.
Highlights: Threats against hecklers and the soundman if he did'nt sort out the feedback on her mic, something about strangulation i think...Being as the custard factory to me can be quite a sterile place i wish she had murdered A few people... |
