Okay, so most everyone else here has caught this, I'd assume. But lest anyone miss it, the Mr. Bean animated series is absolutely gorgeous. I just caught two episodes on PBS this Sunday evening. I haven't been able to check out the web site yet, but that should clue everyone in to my enthusiasm. It's beautifully rendered in a blend of early 60s retro cartoon design and lovely hyperpastel colors and incredibly intricate charicterizations. Story wise, it's Mr. Bean, perhaps a little gentler and less repulsive than Rowan Atkinson in the flesh, but very very funny. The palette and rich movement of the characters lend it a Tati-esque visual sensibility that the live-action version didn't have. If you haven't seen it, you should.

Foust is SO authentic

That's just about the most detailed and scholarly description of an animated man who dries the crotch of his pants with a restroom blow dryer I've ever seen.
