There was an article on Yamamoto's costumes for this in yesterday's Independent - it looks wonderful. I think I might have to give it a miss this weekend as Saturday's Barbebunfight has rather taken it out of my finances, but I'd love to hear what it's like.
Likewise. I'd love to see it (I'm fast becoming a big fan), but it's a bit much to travel seventy five miles to see it in the capital. Let me know what it's like.
Cool and the gang.
It's showing in the Odeon in Covent Garden. Which I haven't been to before, but which probably has good audio, which'd be good for a kitano film.
I can never decide if I prefer his extremely violent stories, or the gentler ones. I think I like Kikijiro or Sonatine where he plays the two off one anoteher.
I think it's showing at about 8:30. I don't think we'd need to pick up tickets in advance? Where's good in the area for a quiet drink/coffee/bite to eat/all of the above?
I guess I have an instant aversion to all bar ones/pitcher and piano's and other bars of their ilk. There is the Marquis of Granby (the one on shaftsbury ave.) opposite the all bar one - there is even the angel just of the end of denmark st.
It's one of ugliest most souless bars I've ever seen. The departure lounge bar in Stansted has more character. Alternative suggestions are a good good thing! I just avoid the area for nights out, so I really don't know the pubs around there at all.
God, that didn't work, did it.
Hmmm, it looks so easy.
I'll try again. VarlaJean
So if that works, then you'll understand I'm going to see this. Have fun if you do go. If not then maybe another night.
