I've never summoned any of them, but some of them have turned up in my dreams. King Mob is the one who appears the most. Usually when I'm re-reading the entire run of The Invisibles I'll dream about them at least once during that period. Not too surprising as my subconscious is very good at dragging out images/people from TV shows/comics/books that I subject myself to on a daily basis and putting them into my dreams. It's like of like my mind says: "Hmm, I need an appropriate image to indicate a sexy anarchic psychic guerrilla fighter, oh yes, King Mob will do..."
I do think that GM was deliberately playing with mythic sterotypes in his Invisibles characters, and thus they make easy fictionsuits to slip on. So the instance of invoking Tom O'Bedlam (a rather dangerous type to invoke into yourself I would have thought) is a good way of working with the Invisibles characters. |
