Summoning Invisibles?

Has anyone ever summoned anyone of the Invisibles in a ritual?
How? What expereiences have you lived with them?

Tom O' Bedlam - several times. Usually involving copious alcohol and sleeping in doorways etc [tends to coincide with Barbemeets!]. He works so well because he believes in his own abilities, no matter how crazy other people think he is.

More an invocation than summoning - embodying the character... slipping into a crusty and tattered fictionsuit.

heh... I think you just coined another bit of Barbe-parlance: The Riotual. Yesss! Bring it on!

Met them (Mob, Boy, Dane, Robbin) on the street one January evening. Completely believe it was a result of magickal work involving the invivibles.

i had a number of invisibles related experiences before i was even aware of the invisibles existence. I could rant for ages about this, but i hope to one day transcribe these experiences into one medium or another. I think this shows the potency of grants hypersigil, or the general zeitgeist of the mid to late nineties.
I'll add to this some other time, i'm too tired right now....

Reading the Invisibles works for me

I channeled Mr. Six once. It was a 4-hour process whereby I dressed up like him, surrounded myself with images of him from the Invisibles and visualized him living my life for a day and how differently he would do things. Afterwards, I felt calm - but otherwise no different. It wasn't until the end of the evening when some friends commented on how different I was acting that I believed the ritual worked. Cool experience, although I felt exhausted at the end of the day.

Heh. I always read Sebastion O and/or the "Entropy in the UK" chapter of The Invisibles before going to parties. That works.

I've never summoned any of them, but some of them have turned up in my dreams. King Mob is the one who appears the most. Usually when I'm re-reading the entire run of The Invisibles I'll dream about them at least once during that period. Not too surprising as my subconscious is very good at dragging out images/people from TV shows/comics/books that I subject myself to on a daily basis and putting them into my dreams. It's like of like my mind says: "Hmm, I need an appropriate image to indicate a sexy anarchic psychic guerrilla fighter, oh yes, King Mob will do..."

I do think that GM was deliberately playing with mythic sterotypes in his Invisibles characters, and thus they make easy fictionsuits to slip on. So the instance of invoking Tom O'Bedlam (a rather dangerous type to invoke into yourself I would have thought) is a good way of working with the Invisibles characters.
