Which fictional characters do you think posters resemble?

You don't have to have seen them - in fact, I think it's better that way. I'll start:

Rex Cityzen - whatever he's calling himself these days - I think Rex looks like the Volume 3 King Mob. He wears a suit, and has very short, fi not shaved, hair.

Haus - I believe that Haus most resembles Kirk Langstrom, the secret identity of the Man-Bat in those classic 70s Batman stories. Hot damn, now I've just reminded myself how cool Man-Bat was. I really need to dig out that Man-Bat story collection sometime.

Mordant Carnival - Mordant, in my mind, always seems to resemble Jolly Roger: vest, big boots, short hair, automatic weapon.

Flyboy - ever since he changed his suit name last year, I can't help but think of flyboy as a ringer for Kiefer Sutherland, playing Jack Bauer in 24.

Right, that's enough for now. More later, when I've let this all percolate in my mind a little more.

Bill Posters once mentioned in a thread on the book The Secret History that he thought Haus was Henry. And while I don't know that I'd go so far to say resembles, having never me Haus in person, I do carry that fond association as I re-read the book.

Flyboy reminds me of Will Scarlet from Rocket Robin Hood

Band of brothers,
Marching together,
Heads held high,
In all kinds of weather.

Haus is like Socrates via Harry Potter (or I don't know, another English public schoolboy figure - Just William? I've not read many books about English public schoolboys.)

Many of my other comments belong in 'Which Superhero...'

No, Haus is definitely Henry from The Secret History. I thought that when I read it, so I agree with Bill and Mazarine.

Augh. That's disturbing; my look is edging dangerously close to Jolly Roger's* the longer I let my hair grow back.

*Except for the gun. I don't have a gun.** But I do have depth perception.

**Although I could have a gun if I wanted. And I could fuck shit up with my gun.

That's disturbing. Looking more like JR the longer you grow your hair? Weird.

And 'I don't have a gun...but I do have depth perception'. I bet you wouldn't tell her that...

Oluluabelle = LaaLaa

Not sure if its the similarity in names, or whether its being nice, and and, will i get the shovel? Its a good thing. Honestly. No matter how much teletubbies suck.

Oh. My. God. I'm a Teletubby?

*Bashes Gingerbop over the head with the shovel.*

Mazarine is Madeleine, the ragdoll from Bagpuss. Stoatie is of course Bagpuss himself, and I think Xoc could possibly be Professor Yaffle.

Does anyone remember that long running german children's programme called 'the boy who sold his smile'?

I can't help thinking of Haus when I think of that show.

D'you mean that Thomas Mann thing, B the B ?

If so, you may have a point. It's just that it wasn't his smile, y'know ?

If Stoat, for whatever reason, decided to get himself a beaten-up overcoat, white shirt, black suit and tie ensemble to cut a dash about town ( IRL I think this'd be a happening look, ) he pretty much would be J Constantine ( UK version, ) albeit with the soul of Bagpuss, if Bagpuss had got out of the shop a bit more often, and off to places that the rest of the cast might have been a bit unnerved by, had the cat divulged.

Mazarine

I'm actually really tempted to buy the necessary articles of clothing and ship them across the sea to make that happen.

Sally Dammerung is a bit like Molly Millions and a bit more like Barb, Pete Bondurant's wife in the James Ellroy's American Tabloid.

Me next! Me next!

Jahelka! Barb Jahelka.

Solitaire Rose as Tom Servo

Well, I see Gingerbop as Shirley Manson

Bear as Paul Heyman (pre-weightgain)
Grant as Leonard Nimoy in the series "In Search Of..."
Finderwolf as Skeet Ulrich

and more as I think of them.

Solitaire Rose as Tom Servo

And before anyone says Mine aren't fictional...I have only seen my pics on TV. So as far as I know they are all just actors playing celebrities.

You do realise that all Scottish women with red hair aren't Shirley Manson?

I think Gingerbop resembles all the best things about Tinkerbell.

These days I think I resemble The Invisible Man.

(Which is sort of appropriate, I guess).

I think Stoatie should be Tim from 'Spaced', and then maybe I could be Mike. The Rough Ramblers don't want me, either.
