of endless creativity

on the things we're now abusing
but so there's no confusing
our brains with intuition
or our hearts with indecision
the tools of our percussion
often go without mention
are the words, the thoughts and rythm
that paint and describe dimension
when we behold suspension
i'm afraid there's no prevention
stop a moment for eternity
and keep the tempo eternally
and to ourselves especially
when the moment came to set us free
the bass it curves and sways
in slightly figurative ways
around the frail innocence
and the fresh and sweet fragrance
of a little arrogance that shows
the old man nods cause he knows
that a little round playing
is a way of saying we're staying
in this here moment of time
with a reason, and rhyme
that might not be sublime
but which our sticks in time
would cast away detriment
that's what we all meant
and what we all do
