Lunar Eclipse?

Hey, isn’t there a lunar eclipse tonight or was it last night? Anyone planning to check it out, or if it was last night, did anyone take it in? I wanted to last night, but it was cloudy and pissing rain here. It ain’t lookin’ any better tonight either! It’s been raining and hailing off and on today—skies aren’t lookin’ too promising.

Last night, 15 May, 10:03 PM 'til about 1:00 AM (EST). Too cloudy along most of the US eastern seaboard to see much of anything, though I understand that views from the lower Midwest (New Orleans, Kansas City) were spectacular.

Our little girl came into our bedroom this morning sobbing because she'd missed it: we'd promised to wake her up if there was anything doin', but in the end thought it better to let her sleep. Nothing to see anyway.

Thanks, Mr. Fear. I share in your daughter’s disappointment—though likely not to the same degree: it’d’ve been ultra cool to be a little Who and get woken up in the middle of the night to see something strange occur amongst the stars. But yes, better to let her sleep when there’s nothing to see. Me, I missed the last opportunity to experience it because of—you guessed it!—lousy weather. Sigh. Makes we wonder about weather control and that HAARP (or is it ‘HARRP’—I always forget) thingy… Anyway, I guess we’ll simply have to wait for the next one and I hope your daughter is as excited about it then.
