I've just finisher Jane Corbin's The Base about al-Qaida, and I'm currently searching for Simon Reeve's The New Jackals.
Both look into the phenomenon that is al-Qaida, though I'm not sure what Reeve's book is like. I think he wrote a book on how the Millennium Bug will kill us all, so I'm wondering if he is to be trusted. Does anyone know?
Is anyone else reading similar books at the moment? Do they want to talk about them in this thread?
Anyone read Corbin's book - and do they have any opinions on it?
