i read a book a month ago called "nazis on speed" (a german documentation about drug use during the dark years of the ns-regime in germany and austria) which decovered the close cooperation between early nazi-germany and the coca-cola company. coca-cola was used to "speed up" productivity and the german cola-representant was "happy to see people in brown uniforms drinking brown lemonade". coca-cola was also a main-sponsor of the olympic games 1936, berlin. evewn goering was "addicted" to coca-cola, photos of goering with cola exist.

during ww2 it became impossible to import basic ingrediences for cola production to germany so the coca-cola-representant had a new idea: he mixed remains of fruit-juice production with sugar and water and -voilá!- fanta was born.

so be careful what you´re drinking: it could be historically incorrect.. :-)))

(besides, the drug we nowadays use to call "speed" was a german invention and had the name "pervitin". hitler recommended its use for soldiers in extreme situations.)

Was this when Coke had tiny bits of actual cocaine in it? (or is that just a myth that it originally had small amounts of coke in it?) Or was this just to get those Nazi soliders all caffiened up and hyper?

IIRC from Coca-Cola's FAQs, Coke did once have a small amount of cocaine in it, but they took it out some years before the rise of Nazism.

oh, yes, and vw (volkswagen) was the flagship of the ns-industry... it was also called "KdW-Wagen" (kraft durch freude-wagen" or, in english, "power through joy - vehicle")...

besides, "vw", the short form, contains 3 v´s (v + w (= v+v))... and "v" means in hebraeic numerology "6"... so vw = 666? :-)

or: v is the 22nd letter in alphabeth... 3 x 22 = 66... and "w" ist the 23rd......

last but not least there exists a tobacco/cigarette-label in germany (from the reemtsma-trust... you may remember the reemtsma-abduction by "left-winged(?)" terrorists long time ago... and this cigarette-label is named "ernte 23" ("harvest 23")...

And apparantly the "old school" VW logo was so designed that when said logo was imprinted on hubcaps and these hubcaps were in motion, the blurred VW logo became a swastika.
