I've been a HUGE TMBG fan for YEARS and can't wait to see this. I hear it's terrific - it's won a bunch of film festival awards. It's coming here to NYC soon...

who's Sarah Vowell? Is that the woman who guest-sang on the "Dr. Evil" song the two Johns wrote?

Sarah Vowell is an author & journalist, and sometimes has storys on This American Life, she is also a friend for TMBG and wrote about them in the "Dial-a-Song: 20yrs of They Might Be Giants" a doulble disc best of set that came out recently... she also appears in the documentary that this thread is deticated to & co-wrote a song called "Could Be Worse" w/ them...

the woman who sings on the song "Dr Evil" is Robin Goldwasser, who's also sung a song on John F. solo/side band Mono Puff and also happens to be married to the fine mr Flans...

Woo! Canadian premiere this week!

I just got in from it, and it was great.... I'm not good at descriptives, so I don't know what else to say, really.

How can 100mins of following John and John around be bad?

I saw it back during the summer, and while it's put together pretty messily, it IS a celebration of the Johns and shows why we love their music so much.

It's been running around the country for almost a year now, and I hope its on DVD soon with a collection of their videos.

I didn't think it was put together "messily" - I thought it was a fun, well-made indie documentary.
