Hello all.
Myself and two other fabulous people are in need of a new flatmate as of the end of this month (exact date to be finalised). It's £385 a month (before bills) for a medium-sized room second floor room in a flat on King's Cross Road (will provide deposit details later but I believe it's less than full month's rent). The flat is just far away enough from the station to be on a pleasant enough bit of street, but it's still ridiculously central. Essentially, if I were trying to sell this place to you (and I am), I'd stress location, location, location: if you love central London but hate the Tube, this is the flat for you. It's a short walk from Upper Street, Farringdon or Clerkenwell, and unless you're allergic to walking I'd say it's handy for Old Street and Oxford Street on foot too. That's before you get to the many, many buses, which make those places as well as such diverse locations as Camden, London Bridge, Hackney, Kentish Town, Liverpool Street - oh, you get the picture - they've very easy and quick to reach. And if you *do* need to use the underground, you could hardly be more well-served by lines. Then there's the trains... As you can probably tell, I can't enthuse enough about how much money, time and organisational effort living here has saved me in terms of transport.
The other big advantage, of course, is that you'll be living with deeply lovely people who can be vouched for by a wide selection of 'Lithers. We'd love you to join us.

In other words, PM me if you're interested and I'll send you contact details so we can arrange a time for you to check out the place and for us to check out... well, you - Shallow Grave style. And pass it on to anyone you may know who might be interested... |
