Ashes of a Goddess

Hey, I’m new at this and need some help. I recently became a Chaos magician for a lot of reasons. One of those is that different gods and goddesses have been talking to me for about two years. I made a deal with a certain love goddess for a favor. Does anyone know anything about an island called Paphos? I know its in the Mediterranean, but that’s all I know. And if anyone does know about it, would you happen to know about the ashes of a Love goddess hidden there?

Okay... I'll take it point by point.
Why would you become a Chaos Magician because gods and goddesses were talking to you?
Which gods and goddesses have been talking to you?
What is the name of the certain love goddess?
What was the deal and was it more of a bargain?
Are you aware of the results of striking any deal with a deity?

What procedures did you use to verify the identity of the unknown entity/ies which have contacted you?

And how can anyone burn up a Goddess? Gods are immaterial, right? So, ashes of what again?

Chaos magicians, in my admittedly limited understanding, are less than likely to take an unknown entity at face value when it says it is a deity, of Love or of anything else.

I agree that you're new to this and need some help, but it may not be of the kind you think you need. If you just want to know about Paphos, plug it into a google search. If you want people to be critical and grumpy at you and try to make you a better (or less careless) magician, this is the place to post.

I became a chaos magician for a great many number of reasons, the godspeech thing is only a contributing factor. Entities that have claimed to be Anubis, Hades, Horus, Coyolxauhai, Lucifer Morningstar, the angel Michael, the Three Ladies, and a great many others have all spoken to me. I made a deal with Aphrodite, because she is my token guardian goddess. And the terms on her side of the bargain have not been fulfilled yet, I'm just trying to get information. According to some obscure Roman story, the ashes of Venus were hidden somewhere on Paphos. I don't know why or how. I do appreciate the criticism though, as I have often questioned the validity of these things myself.

Bear in mind the ashes of Venus might not be what you think...

Note also that deals of service to dieties are a form of priesthood, for benefit of your personal definitions.

I dunno why everyone's being so tetchy and overly critical. If your getting contact experiences and you're satisfied that the material you're receiving is genuine, then do some research on the location and see if any of the psychic grapevine material checks out with real world stuff (research places, people, local legends concerning Venus, etc..) if it all continues to check out, and the momentum continues to pick up, then it's just a matter of deciding if you want to pursue the lead you're being given to its destination. You may have a bit of a psychic questing adventure on your hands, in which case the eventual scenario will probably involve getting on a plane over there and seeing what happens.

This website mentions that The ashes of Venus are shown in Paphos (about a third of the way down the page in the 'Other Gods and Goddesses' section). Google Paphos and ashes and see what you get.

Really, take this as far as you want. Maybe you'll end up with a power object falling into your life or some new spell. Just don't forget who the one in charge is and you'll do fine.

That's an extremely interesting mixture of mythological backgrounds particularly considering that Aphrodite is your guardian and really quite removed from the others- I take it she's not a jealous deity.

See, this is why I posted this, to get some feedback from others. I'm sort of stuck in Conservative-mindedness USA, so I'm glad I found people who sort of get where I'm coming from. Hopefully, in a few years I will be able to go over to the island and find some more things out. And apparently Anna is right, Aphrodite isn't jealous of my communication with other deities. The real problem is that, although I have some contacts in England and Brazil and Russia, I've got nothing in Greece or Italy. So if and when I eventually go to Paphos I'll have no idea where to start looking.

Research it thoroughly beforehand, find out as much as you can about Paphos and any specific local aspect of Aphrodite related to the place. Ask Aphrodite to guide you on you journey and turn it into a pilgrimage.

I thought the main connexion of Paphos to Aphrodite is that it is one of the places where she is said to have come ashore after her birth (Venus on a half shell, etc.). Hence, unsurprisingly, the adjective 'Paphian'.

from Dictionary.com
Paphian

\Pa"phi*an\, a. [L. Paphius, Gr. ?, from ? the city Paphos.] Of or pertaining to Paphos, an ancient city of Cyprus, having a celebrated temple of Venus; hence, pertaining to Venus, or her rites.

Now how often have you had to use that in your life?

There is a town in Southern Cyprus called Paphos near to which legend has it (as Kit-Cat Club said)Aphrotite came to shore. BTW Cyprus is an Island in the eastern mediteranean.
