Hindi/Buddhist word for "The Tower"

I'm still plugging away at my didactic tarot and I want to know if anyone can help me with another request. Recently I had seen a word that meant "the illusion" or some such that basically was the analogy for the mindset that the Tower card stands for. It was a direct comparison, so I'm not making this up... I was wondering if anyone might know what I'm talking about...

The word started with a [Pa] and ended with a [th], and there was definitely an [ro} in there somewhere.

How about maya or samsara?

Sounds like Maya (the world is an illusion) or Samsara (the day to day drudge, the material world, the cycle of death and rebirth) as HN said, but neither of those really epitomise the Tower. The tower and city could be seen as either (but more likely samsara) but that would underplay the dramatic nature of the change inherent in the card- the tower struck down by god.
If you find out the Parotha word, let us know!
