Yeah, I agree – We need a more positive spin on things (not to mention knowledge about where to get good stuff).

I'll start by mentioning Grandpa's. I can vouch for the baking soda soap and the Pine Tar Shampoo. (Pine tar is an acquired taste...or should that read scent?...but it does make for a happier scalp.) I've not bought the products online but the prices at my health food store are quite reasonable. I know some folks who use the clay deodorants as well.

So come on... who gets our love, support and $$$? Bring it on...

You don't need deoderant. You can pick up a mineral rock at any co-op or natural foods store. They last for like a year and (personal testimonial) work great.

Dr. Bronners can clean just about every part of yr body and most of the flat as well, all with directions on the bottle.

It would be great if we could get a dialogue going on what companies are deserving of our consumer dollars and why. And even though my next link is also personal-hygiene related, we don't need to stick to that particular aspect of consumerism.

I'd like to hear from someone who could tell me about the vegetables I get at:
* my local supermarket (a Winn Dixie, in my case)
* my local health food chain (a Wild Oats)
* my local produce stands
...and how they stack up against one another.

I'd also like to know about razors.
Clothes, I get either as gifts or at thrift stores.
