This strip feels like something out of a childhood dream/nightmare. Not only the emotions and the general theme of dashed security, but the story itself seems very familiar. Does it feel like that to anyone else?
Yup, I get that with most of the stips in that series.
I can't really define what it is they tap into, but it has that ephemeral dimly-remembered childhood dreams thing going on.
They're funny as hell, but very spookily familiar.
