Gnomes all around me.

I often encounter gnomes everywhere. Being that I have a serious earth element sympathy, and that they are spirits of the earth, I look for them and they look for me. I often find them poping up next to strange phenomena, places, and what not. Does anyone else encounter the gnomes, hyperspace elves, or any other element spirits for that matter? This is the place to tell all.

P.S.- Any ideas for some modern elementals, like a Gamma, a nuclear elemental?

mmm... that actually brings up a whole range of possibilities. It ties in with an idea I've had that the gay community is in some odd way inherently magical. Bears being sort of dwarves, Queens being like eleves. Drag like some kind of priest/cleric/shaman (go Fanny! but also Hedwig).

I even thought of making a roleplaying game based on the many sterotypes you find in the community. Add to the above Warriors in leather, Clones as barbarians. You've got thieves, vampires, monsters of all kinds, angels, heroes, villians... call it D&D too - Danceparties and Dragqueens - its a cliche a second, hehehehe...

Sounds like the shiz-nits, tell me how it turns out, and yeah, actually dwarves and gays were thought of as magical before patriarchys held major sway over humanity, dwarves were, well, err, dwarves, and homosexuals were seen as living in two worlds, and all that.

Instead of chuthulu, how about azathoth? that opens another can of worms. some systems typfy elementals as being lesser spirits, the same class as demons. but azathoth is an outer being, a hell of a nuclear elemental to be sure. should the mythos entities be classified then as gods, or elementals? And as far as the hulk goes, I always thought of him as being more like a titan, being the most modern manifistation of the prometheaus archtype. Godzilla, now that would be one awsome work, thanks for the idea.
