I'm starting my finals tomorrow! Aaaaargh! I'm so scared and excited (excited not because I'm an odd person who likes to spend 28 hours of her life writing til her wrist falls off in a huge barn with 100s of other freaking-out people but because I'm nearly finished the 18 years of my life spent in instituitional education). Anyway, I know it's coming up to that time of handing in essays, dissertations, theses and doing exams for a lot of people so I just wanted to say: we're in this one together, good luck

Good luck indeed! I'm in the same situation and will be relieved to have finished my university career. However as a BMus student at my university my exams are almost fun, and writing words is definitely kept to a minimum. However, I have to do a 30 minute recital that is worth 18.75% of my final mark. Hurrah for short term pressure!

), then Chinese history and American history next week... weee! I really wish it was all over now, but ah well. I just hate the writing for 2 hours. Hurts the wrists....

My god, Baz, you sure must like history - never agreed with me, so many dates to remember, and far too many empires to keep track of. Good luck to all; I finished the last of mine last week, and now I feel disjointed and without purpose, but it is rather enjoyable. Oh well, the summer job starts soon and then I get to do it all again next year.

No finals till next week for me. And only two to do. It was supposed to be an easy-peasy finals week for me. But then my mouth went into excruciating pain mode this weekend and I found out today that I'm going to have to have my wisdom teeth removed. Soon. So, no matter what happens, I'm probably going to be drugged and/or in great pain next week. Yay...

My exams don't start until Thursday. I should probably blow the dust off my textbooks and study or something, but that'd make too much sense. The only one I'm really worried about is Discrete Mathematics, the rest'll be fairly easy even if I don't crack a book.I should probably get to work on that powerpoint presentation for my English final though, what with the need to actually do a bit of research for my topic.

Mine do not start for about three and a half weeks.

Sadly, that times is full of some lectures that might be useful, and trying to finish the year's work. (We do terms differently here).

And then, I have four three hour exams in the course of six days that define pretty much all of my final grade, bar my dissertation which I've already handed in. I'm behind, I'm lazy, I don't know enough and it's terrifying.

Yes, but why? There are two days between handing in coursework and sitting exams at my uni. Two days. And I have seminars until one week before, which hilariously require me to read new things when what I really want to do is try to stop the terrible leakage from my tired brain of things I am already meant to know... Aargh. Sorry. It's only my second year as well... Sob...

Crikey, that's ridiculous. I mean - if you're an undergrad here they do make you sit finals on a full two years' work, but at least you get the third term off to revise.

I've got a month to finish my work and then a viva voce - comparatively easy life. Best of good luck to everyone.

My final exams are also coming up, along with dissertation handing in and extremely super-fast bouts of desperate essay writing..

So this provides a good juncture in which to say I might not be posting as prolifically as usual in the next six weeks or so.

Strangely enough, i quite like the exams themselves. Its just the bits before (studying) and after (results) that im not so keen on!
