Maybe it's just because I've been posting a bit more, or maybe it's just the sudden influx of delightful new members, or maybe it's some kind of hormonal thing, but all of the sudden I really feel like I'm in a true and caring community here on Barbelith. I've always looked forward to checking the board and reading up on every little thing but lately it has more meaning somehow. And I'm in a sappy enough mood to just come out and say I love this place. Barbelith = Joy.

Some of that is just that I've gotten strokes from a handful of 'suits I respect over the last week or so, some is that the board itself has been particularly loveable lately, and some is that I'm all pink&fuzzy tonight from having attended a most amazing wedding ceremony.

this board has made me happy on many occasions when i was down. Hell, the secret beard thread makes me smile whenever i think about it while driving/walking around.

barbelith is a very cool place to hang out, i think we should set up RL branch offices around the world, because i can imagine barbelith would kick even more ass with cushy couches and backround music...of course we would need someone working the door to keep the riff raff out...

I love Barbelith, and when my plans for world domination come to fruition or I get my powers back, there shall be a safe house in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Frisco, NY, Melbourne and several other places, with matter transmitter booths in every one to link them together. Also I will provide Space Station Barbelith as a vantage point to gaze upon the satellite behind the moon, and a place to experiment with zero gee.
The day will come, oh yes, when those darn lizards give back my magic ruby...

...I just figured since most of youse live in London, having a Safe House there would be silly. It would be better outside the city. You know, get away from it all and whatnot. A compound in the highlands? And maybe a nice lodge up in Northern Ontario or Quebec? Ooh! A loft in Brasil would be cool too, and a tiny apartment in Tokyo!
