Sir Miles gay?

I'm all for open interpretation of comics, but I'm a little stumped as to why the writers of "Anarchy For The Masses" proposed that Sir Miles might be gay. It's not that I mind the fact he could be gay, it's just the total lack of evidence to this (well, they give one example, but I thought it a tad flimsy). Bisexual maybe, but it was obvious Miles was in love with Beryll.

Then again, he did interogate King Mob when Mob was naked. And he did think Dane would make an excellent whore...

I got the book a few days ago but only read the introduction tonight. I was amused by the writer's saying that it could be read holistically in a series of trips to the bathroom, because these last few days that book has been my choice of reading material whilst going to the bathroom. As you do.

When I was reading those bios, it seemed like they asserted everyone was, or could be, gay. Since Sir Miles was married, and clearly loved Beryl, I would say that he was not gay.

And on the subject of those biographies, there seemed to be a lot of stuff in the book that I hadn't gotten from the series. Like, at one point they claim that Robin dressed like she did in Volume I because that's how Dane remembered it, but then in Volume II, she went back to her own style. Was this in the series itself, or was it just a hypothesis? It's logical, but I don't remember anything like that being explicitly mentioned.

Pop Reference: South Park's Butters. His father, married, clearly loving his wife and son, was gay.-or at least Bi.

You also need to remember that Sir Miles attended Eton, old chap...

"Jack would make a great whore"

Because a whore knows the power/code of silence.

To add chaff, remember that Sir Miles was married, but he obviously held on perfunctory obediance to the convention.

I don't know if there's enough evidence for the theory to be anything more than a suggestion. His habits and inclinations could as easily be heterosexual as homosexual. I'll say this though, Sir Miles reminds me of a gay character from a deranged Robert Cooper novel, like CLOSER. Personally, I don't think it matters much since, in the Invisibles cosmology, we're all gay and straight at the same time.

I think you mean Dennis dlotemp. Funny, I read that same book recently...

Sir Miles reminds me of how I thought all old British men acted when I was young: adding what to the ends of sentences, drinking tea, going on fox hunts, etc.

I don't know, but I think Dane was actually a black dude.
