Bored here and surfing aimlessly, then came upon a site to tell me who I am in Chinese.

Seems I am Gan Tan-fu

My new Chinese persona is "flat, smooth; self-possessed" and I "console, comfort; pacify". And I'm a monkey, horoscopically, which I knew before.

I'm a monkey too. It's nice to know that I share with someone as cool as yourself, Xoc.

I entered my name but it comes up differently each time you click - which I found a little disappointing.

They also alter it by "theme," so if you want something more "Mind & Intellectual," you'll get those kinds of words.

Because Mandarin don't *do* letters, it does single-syllable words. Bigger words are made by stringing the little ones together.

So "America" becomes "Mei Gua" = pretty country.
And "China" is "Chun Gua" = middle country. (or Central Kingdom, if you prefer.)

And I keep coming up as Ge Rui (skill sharp) or similar. I wonder what Bei means... I bet it's the same Bei as in Beijing.
