Yet another play ... Waiting for Melissa Tues 29th Apeil - Sat 3rd May

Yes folks, it's that time again - I'm directing the below and you're all invited. After next week it moves to Manzi's near Leicester Square. Catch us while hot etc.

"Instinctive and Einekleine Theatre present "Waiting for Melissa" at the White Bear Pub Theatre, 138 Kennington Park Road (Kennington tube) SE11, from Tuesday 29th April to Sat 3rd May, 9.30pm. £7/£5 concs. Box office 020 7793 9193.

This sparkling new boy-almost-meets-girl comedy is written by Times columnist and playwright Nick Thomas, and features Adrian Peck, star of ITV's Sitcom Trials, in the role of Joe.

Melissa is ravishing. Melissa is clever. Melissa is the woman Joe has been waiting his whole life for - the only problem tonight is that Joe is still waiting, and Melissa's very late indeed...

From the team who brought you Time Out Critic's Choice "Dancing Bears", a brilliant and bitter romp through one man's twisted thoughts as he sits in a bar, waiting for the dream girl who may never materialise. A balls-out Bridget Jones. Features gratuitous use of the word "sperm".

I thankew.

These people must be stopped. Boycott this play or they may come for you next. They are evil, EVIL I tell you. Virgin blood has been spilled and only our vigilance can prevent it happening again. Kill this thread before the bunny gets it.

You say that now, but you'll be there. Oh yes, you'll be there ...

I would actually quite like to see this, especially as I haven't seen Herr Peck for months and I could do with a laugh (with him or at him, I don't mind which). I could probably do Friday or Saturday... how long izzit and would I have to book? And is anyone else going?

KCC - It's under an hour long, so you'll be out well before Last Orders.
In an ideal world you'd have to book - in this one, I fear not. Just turn up, or let me know what day you're coming and how many tix you need and I'll reserve them at the venue.

Be good to see ya - Fri probly best as non-cast-non-party and get-out will be on Sat night.

I could turn up, but will I have my P45 by then? How do you *tell* that somebody is a concession, anyway?

Try to look undeserving - that should do the trick.

I'll probably turn up for the Saturday - I can't make any other night - so you can put those thumbscrews away, Whiskey. Anyone wishing to join me in being snubbed by the working thesps is welcome to keep one eye peeled for the morose fat bloke in the black t-shirt.

Hmph, I think Saturday might be my best bet as well. It'll be a bit of a twart if we can't actually talk to Whisky or A.P.
