I know I'm a few years late on this one, but having previously only read the first issue way back when it was new, I finally got round to getting the GN yesterday.
And I fucking loved it.
Loved the way it's like (though it predates) the movie "Velvet Goldmine", only with aliens. Allred's art is, as always, snappy. I just... oh, I just fucking loved it from start to finish.
The accidental drowning of Brian Jones while trying to save him is particularly priceless.
Does anyone else have fond memories of this? As a fan of Madman, what other Allred stuff would you recommend given that I think this is better? |
