A Song I Wrote

Hey barbe-beings.

This is a sketch for a song that I'll show to my bandmates, hoping that they will like it enough to play it.
This is a rough mix, captured in one take per track in a total of 4 tracks (two voices, two guitars). I just wanted to capture the idea and the feeling of the song; So you have some fumbled lyrics (the actual ones are printed below), some discrepancy in the vocals in the right and left channels, you know, the usual thing.

But this should give you enough material to make your mind about if this song is any good or if it's shite. I know I like it a lot, and I thought, "why not show it to those lovable mischief-makers?".

So, why dontcha tell me whatcha think of it?

Ships Burning
lyrics:Jaded Jade Emperor/music: Jaded Jade Emperor

I saw you drifting away
Smiling, unaware
Of the burning ships you left in your trail.
I've waited for the right hour to come
I've waited for the right words

They never came
They never came
They never came

I waited for the stars to be right
But I got lost somewhere in my plan.
I never said the things that must be said
Once and again and again and again.
Because one day we depart
One day we grow old and die.

I'll never say
I'll never say
I'll never say

I will never say
I will never say

And your scent still haunts the building.
