OK, I've spent most of the evening setting up ye generic blog at http://loz_flowers.blogspot.com/ and, though Blogger is assuring me that when I publish something it's going on there, I can't actually see the web page itself to satisfy myself it's there. So,

1) Can you see it?
If not, any suggestions for how I sort this out?
If you can, any suggestions for how I can persuade my perfectly normal v.6 of IE to let me see it?

There's a busted link at the bottom of your first post, though: enter "safe mode," next to the "Current" tab, and insert the closing quotation mark in your link to Barbelith: maybe that will sort you out...

What exactly happens when you click the "View Web Page" link? It should open up in a separate window.

Oooh, very legible! It's great and I love the changing colours - COOL!

Maybe you have to close IE and reload to see it, hope its not so drastic as having to restart your machine!

It opens a new window to try and load it, spends ages, then tells me it can't connect. It's a supposedly standard template.

Oh, and now it's not letting me edit the thing. I expected it to be a crap browser problem. The bloody computer worked fine until I started donwloading 'security patches'...

Looks fine from here, M. Flowers... I have absolutely no idea why you can't see it though (unless the colour change requires something you've got turned off in your preferences, but this seems unlikely given that it's a standard template). It might just be worth having a look at Blogger help. Most peculiar.

Tried without cookies and tried deleting the blog and starting fresh. Hasn't worked. Will wait until I can try it on another computer to decide what to do...

SFD has been badgering me forever to get my blog fixed so she can view it. The only problem is that it works fine for me and most other people. The only other time it hasn't worked (that I know of) was during the holidays while I was down in the Niagara Region.

Is there some way that some people can read a blog and other can't? I'm not very good with computers.

Right, this morning I just tried creating an entirely new blog on an entirely new account and it worked fine and I could see the page. I suspect therefore that signing up last night when Blogger is at it's busiest may not have been a good idea. So I think that I'm going to trash what I've done already and start fresh tomorrow morning on a new account.

Only I could make a mess of something so easy...

Some servers don't let you view pages with an _ because it's an illegal URL. I doubt it's that but you (or I) never know.

I guess the page I've just looked at must be the new one then, because it works smashingly for me, *and* I'm viewing it on a mac which are generally considered (in this PC obsessed world) to be not worth going through the site testing process for.

Right, the loz_flowers one won't work, and the new one SHOULD be at http://blahblahflowers.blogspot.com/, however, though I've tried to repost my introduction piece I have no idea whether anything is getting through because, surprise surprise, something somewhere is being wanky, though I suspect it's more Blogger's fault than my computers. This morning after I set it up it seemed to be not setting a template to my blog so I couldn't publish, this afternoon, though it's in my window I can't seem to upload it to blogger, and it's not giving me any kind of error message to work with.

It would seem that Jesus doesn't want me for a blogger.

On the bright side, where it lists the most recently uploaded blogs the upload time is 12:58 AM which gives me hope that this is just some total catastrophic failure of their system which has had the knock-on effect that they can't put up an error message saying that they're completely fucked. I live in hope...
