It's a real case, but the article is remarkably one-sided. If you read between the lines, it's not too hard to figure out that the guy's initial pro se case was a complete mess. In American justice, all appeals and continuances in a case build upon the initial hearing, so it doesn't surprise me that the Judge was knocking this guy's appeals out left and right.
However, if it's true that the judge ruled on an accusation of misconduct on her own part, then there's been a serious miscarriage of justice.
I wish the article had been written with more of an eye towards reporting the events from an objective viewpoint, instead of the brutally biased one we got. |
