A female student at the Norwegian Film School in Lillehammer is planning to make a hardcore pornographic movie this autumn. School bosses don't feel this will pose any problem at all at the state-financed institution.
"Pornographic film production at the school is not a problem," principal Malte Wadman told TV2.no.
The planned project is part of the school's so-called "genre composition", in which students get to choose the style of movie they make. Some have gone for karate films, others for road movies or musicals. One female student has chosen porn!
"Pornography is also a genre. As long as it is produced - and only shown - inside the school's walls, I don't think it's a problem," says Wadman.
The student in question wishes to remain anonymous as she has little desire to be associated with pornography when her course is over. The project was due for an earlier production date, but the actors failed to turn up on the day of filming and it's had to be put back to the autumn.
According to Norway's penal code paragraph 204, it is illegal to spread pornography, but not to produce pornographic films.
