As the topic title says
Soul legend Edwin Starr has died at the age of 61, after having what is thought to have been a heart attack. details here.

Given the events iraq at the moment I figured now would be a good time for a little sing-song. Everybody together now-

He probably had a heart attack when he saw his latest royalty check. Seriously though, as someone who saw him live at practically every scooter rally I ever went to, he will be missed, the dude was cool as fuck.

agree, edwin star was great, managed to be a brilliant showman & crowd pleaser at everything from butlins to northern soul nights without stepping over into cabaret, a truly sensational singer & artist, & did probably my favourite version of cloud 9 too.

truly agent double O soul.
