"Democracies Do Not Wage Aggressive Wars" says Richard Perle.
Interesting point. He means it, one assumes, to assert that since we live in democratic societies, this war must be non-aggressive and just.
To be honest, I think it highlights the question of how democratic our societies are.
These unintentionally double-edged comments seem to be rather common in Bush's camp. Anyone got more? Not gaffs, but two-edged arguments. |
