30.12.2002: I win an E-Bay auction for Serial Experiments: Lain, an 4 DVD boxed set in Japanese language with English subs. I pay by cash, recorded delivery, within a week of the successful auction. I pay enough so that the item will be sent to me insured.
01.04.2003: I am a very patient person who has reached the end of their tether. I have sent twenty e-mails to this seller over the course of a quarter of a year. Each has been given a one-line response that has barely addressed the issues I've raised. I may post these to the thread when I have time.
Now for my request: I'm already enetering into grievance procedures via the usual E-Bay channels. However, it appears that this seller uses multiple fictionsuits. He goes under the names superpoweranime, swedenanimeseller on www.ebay.co.uk and staranimestore. on www.ebay.com. To find him, type in Lain to either site's search facility.
Each seller ships the same item from Singapore. There are striking similarities in the style of written English and the nature of the feedback that has been left. It is obvious that it is the same person.
Would anyone mind giving me a quick hand to track down some of his other fictionsuits? I don't use any other auction sites, and there is no reason to suppose that he just bases his operation on E-Bay. |
