Premonition? Second sight? Freaky coincidence?

Today I was driving down the motorway when I suddenly pictured myself sitting in my car on the hard shoulder texting someone I knew to tell them I'd been involved in a car crash. 'How very odd,' I thought. 'What a strange and twisted imagination I have'. Two minutes later and apparently without seeing me, a mad woman tried to pull into my lane and drove her car into the side of mine, swerved across her lane, drove into the side of someone else and then crashed her car into the back of the one in front of her.

A few minutes after that I found myself on the hard shoulder in the exact same situation as I had previously foreseen.

What is this? Second sight? A bizarre coincidence? And if I did somehow know it was going to happen, why could I not do anything about it?

I was once walking along the street when I saw a guy working up the top of a telephone pole and I had a thought like "if that guy drops something, it'll kill me", so I altered my course, and the guy dropped a very large shifting spanner exactly where I would have been otherwise.

i have experienced precognition, but have no explanation.

my best guess would be that i am reading the situation i am in, factoring in billions of variables without realising it, and can therefore make a really good guess as to what is about to happen/be said.

maybe you saw the driver earlier, and read in her behaviour something that signalled that her path was going to take the swerve it did, and the next logical step you would take(as you knew it would not harm you greatly) would be to tell your friend. which you usually do by text.

like i say, its my best guess.

but then, i like the science approach to magick.

and i think of deja vu as a short circuit.

oh, and you may have been able to act on your knowledge, but as you said, you were too busy wondering why your mind would come up with such nonsense and not trusting it.

which is probably sensible most of the time, but not this one time.

I hope you weren't too shaken up by it- erratic drivers on the motorway are the worst.
