ok, so i will shortly be living alone as my spouse and i have decided it is time to split.
So, this summer i should be coming into some cash and i plan on traveling this great world of ours. My only problem is i have no idea where to go.

I grew up north of ny city, so i dont feel the us east coast is a nescessary stop over. I want to hit up montreal, as it was where i was born and my dad still lives there.

I'm thinking london maybe. When is the best time to visit the home of barbelith? I need to go back to school in the fall so im looking at summer, but i could take a semester off if the urge took me.

Sorry to hear your news, I hope the split was a mutual decision.

But it is a good time to go a travellin', getting perspective on life and all. If you see Mononoke's thread, she's coming over to London soonish so it could be Barbe-meets-a-go-go this summertime.

Summertime in the UK is good because Festival season is up. No matter what kind of arty-stuff you like, this country will have a festival to cover it. If you google for UK Festivals you'll get all the links you could possibly need.

And if you look in Mononoke's thread you will also see links to previous threads about travelling to the UK which might help head off some FAQs that you might have.

anyhoo, about 30 seconds after posting i saw mononokes thread, and since we never had the New Mexico meet up perhaps summer in london is a good idea...
