sorry to break the vibe here (i'm good at it, i think) but i've just completed the "off center" project's first phase, which is to get out a complete set of pieces which address much of today's most concerning issues. later we will be adding video of each, as well as forums for each title which deal that particular set of concerns (which are not yet public).
anyway, you've seen most of these pieces on their own or attached to other works here, but now you can view them in context, as they are all relative to each other, and to this particular moment in time.
this is highly political material, but in most cases is trying to walk a non-partisan, non-biased approach to important points of awareness in our collective society, especially in the west. thus the term "off center".
at any rate, if you enjoy these various poems, writings, music and recordings, please feel free to promote and distribute them on the web.
the idea behind schmee is to fund artistic projects based on a wide array of philosophies, but to distribute the results for free in the hopes of awakening folks trapped in Billboard 100 buy cycles.
eventually we will be adding a wide array of artists to the mix, as well as much more utility based productions, eg detailed "how to's" in all disciplines, from fun stuff to boring stuff.
we also would like those outside schmee to contribute with ideas via the forums that will be established, including suggs for new songs and even the opportunity to share tracks with the production of schmee songs, eg adding a guitar solo to an existing song.
at any rate, your help in getting the work promoted as it develops (we aren't shy about throwing up incomplete work for the purpose of development and garnering opinion), is greatly appreciated.
finally, it's worth mentioning that all schmee work is free to use in other projects, as it has been specially engineered to ensure if it used, the message behind the original piece is unavoidable, or at least a catalyst for sparking curiosity.
