When this thing started I felt a lot more 'in control'.
In the immediate aftermath of 911, I was able to keep my mind on course by avoiding the media. Typical conversation of the time;
questioner:'What do you think the US President should do about Afghanistan?'
me:'There is No the President of the United States of America, there is No Afghanistan.'
I switched off the news aggresively. I don't feel as though I have a subconscious, but experience dictates that I do. So I know the only way to stop it becoming infested with the subtexts of advertising is to mute & turn away from tv adverts. So the same applies to the media feed, even the Channel 4 News, Guardian etc.
The media blitz which started on 10/11 - which twisted 'Asylum Seeker' into a new buzzword for race hate; which attempts to polarise opinion, preferably all to the same pole; which pumped the same message with different spin on every channel; This forms a concerted psychic attack.
The aim is to set the agenda. No matter which side of the fence you come down, it's George & Tony's fence. Only game in town, now. My immunity has rubbed off; Anti-War demos are part and parcel of being sucked into the whole thing. The 'War is Hell' T-shirts I printed up for friends &&, are a fashion accessory, whether I like it or not. I have been Sucked In proper.
My plan is to ball up all the internalised propaganda and vomit it out into a really vicious documentary, then deliberately stop talking about War, or the George & Tony show, for EVER. But then ... taking such an aggressive, all-or-nothing mental stance, after being subject to aggressivising propaganda - No, surely not ? But of course!
Unravelling spends its spare time working on the plans for a revolutionary new type of gun that shoots bullets of pure Love, with optional 'under & over' launcher for 40mm grenades of Light & Hope. |
