There are other angles to the 'State of the (Queer) Nation' debate, though. Or is this the specific tack you want on it?

There's the 'is there any political bite left in queerness or is it just about shopping?' thing; this seems to be floating around several of the RL/net womenspaces I hang out in....

But this may be more of a women's thing...

I think it's mainly that, since we last talked about this, I've come into contact with many, many more transpeople - and have (I think) begun to get a taste for the rather complex politics around trans identities. I guess it's just a shame that, once I've learned enough to discuss the subject intelligently, all our transfolk move on.
