I know I promised an update on this, but I've been plunged into a particularly busy period of my life recently, so apologies for the delay.
When doing any sort of magickal workings, the details count for everything. So it was during the final design and build stages of my servitor that I realised there were problems.
The main problem I found was boiling down the intent to simple terms that a servitor can understand. I couldn't get this aspect nailed down, despite the fact that I had given the servitor a name and a design. So at the 11th hour I decided to abandon launching the servitor (This isn't necessarily a bad thing because you always learn from going through the process).
A curious night then followed in which several strange synchronicities happened. While out with a friend, we ended up talking to two separate people. The first one was from exactly the same town (up North) my friend was from. The second one was currently on an NLP course (ha!) - and who also turned out to be a bit difficult to get away from, ending up practically following us half the way home!
Anyway, I found this ironic as my personal desire for the servitor was to enhance the possibilities of female relationships (they were both men). Funny how things turn out. I can only wonder what would have happened had I actually launched the servitor proper.
The one thing I think I learned from this was that a servitor was perhaps the wrong approach and that, indeed, a sigil solution would have been better. I might play around with this again at some point in the future, but for now it's been an interesting learning experience.
Anyway, I hope aspects of this little project have been useful to others and any comments are welcome. |
