Servitor Of Love

I'm currently designing a servitor to help or enhance the possibilities of relationships (especially since my Russian 'birds' have now disappeared. Damn).

I'd be interested in hearing about anyone else's experience in this area and any advice they might have.

Perhaps you've experimented with love magick and had disasterous results. Or maybe you're now dating some good looking character what looks like a film star. Or something.

BTW I hope to have this thing running by Thursday and I will be reporting back with updates.

I don't have much experience working with servitors but I just stumbled across the topic (GEK etc.) on here and started thinking along the same lines as you. I'm happy to share thoughts as an auspicious synchronicity wills it. I'll post some more when I've played and thought some more!

What made you decide to use a servitor?

What do you mean here? Are you looking for a technique to find someone, ensnare a certain person or enhance an existing relationship?

If you are talking about using a servitor you should think about whether you really want a third party involved in your relationships. Although servitors aren't necessarily living beings, overtime they tend to start behaving more and more like they are alive. That means they tend to get their own ideas of what is best. A dog protecting its master can frighten away the master's new girlfriend.

What you could look for is a working that leads to compatable potential romatic interests synchonistically crossing your path. This will not overly impinge on the wills of people but should give you the potential to find someone. All you would have to do is step up to the plate.

Dunno... one thing that helped me a lot was re-defining bits of my past, seeing it not as a disaster zone but just a few wrong turnings and things to learn from. Seeing myself and my romantic history from a new perspective and being big enough to laugh at it. And obviously all the other stuff like relaxing around the whole issue (very difficult!), liking yourself etc. I guess you could build some of these qualities into a servitor. To impart to you the qualities that you need to get what you want – so it’s more inspiration and a state of being rather than "getting" something for nothing. I like the way you phrased it - "enhancing possibilities" sounds good to me, as this is an inner and outer thing. but I'm not experienced with servitor use, so I don't know. I did a lot of divination on this topic but I think I definitely deluded myself at times ... There's a page hereabout problems with divination - "addictive questioning" is easy to do, I think...

It's a tough area, touches us so personally... Dont think I'm sorted there yet either, just better than I used to be!

I might add that what I've just written is just my reactions to your question - not intended as advice as such, unless you think any of it's relevant to you.

Arcboi, funny you should mention this; I've been thinking of similar tactics. Can we work with your servitor once it's up and running? Tell us all about it! peace ---

Interesting comments - thanks for the feedback.

To answer some of the queries raised:

What made you decide to use a servitor?

I've had remarkable results using servitors in the past and I want something that works effectively on a consistent basis. Sigil magick would be too specific in this case.

What do you mean here? Are you looking for a technique to find someone, ensnare a certain person or enhance an existing relationship?

This isn't designed to act against anyone's will but a technique to enhance the possibilities of a relationship happening, notably by synchronistic events.

Can we work with your servitor once it's up and running?

I don't see any reason why not. As I said, this servitor is designed to enhance or assist the possibilities of relationships and I think it's general enough for mass use (If anyone feels this is an issue then I'd like to hear your comments).

I know I promised an update on this, but I've been plunged into a particularly busy period of my life recently, so apologies for the delay.

When doing any sort of magickal workings, the details count for everything. So it was during the final design and build stages of my servitor that I realised there were problems.

The main problem I found was boiling down the intent to simple terms that a servitor can understand. I couldn't get this aspect nailed down, despite the fact that I had given the servitor a name and a design. So at the 11th hour I decided to abandon launching the servitor (This isn't necessarily a bad thing because you always learn from going through the process).

A curious night then followed in which several strange synchronicities happened. While out with a friend, we ended up talking to two separate people. The first one was from exactly the same town (up North) my friend was from. The second one was currently on an NLP course (ha!) - and who also turned out to be a bit difficult to get away from, ending up practically following us half the way home!

Anyway, I found this ironic as my personal desire for the servitor was to enhance the possibilities of female relationships (they were both men). Funny how things turn out. I can only wonder what would have happened had I actually launched the servitor proper.

The one thing I think I learned from this was that a servitor was perhaps the wrong approach and that, indeed, a sigil solution would have been better. I might play around with this again at some point in the future, but for now it's been an interesting learning experience.

Anyway, I hope aspects of this little project have been useful to others and any comments are welcome.
