Dear everyone,

Many big thanks to everyone who's already wished me good luck, but this is a request for lovely Barbeloids (and unlovely ones too, if indeed there are such) to think happy thoughts at 5pm British time this evening (or for the hour or so afterwards). I have a paper to give and although it's only short I'm absolutely petrified - happy thoughts would give me a bit of buoyancy.

Better go and finish writing the thing, eh?
